Banner countdown 2 update vol 11

Well, I've bwwn slacking off, I know. And now I'm down with a cold, have hed new banners added to the last count and the puppies are driving me nuts. The perfect time to resume bannermaking to get at least something finished, isn't it? So... let's do maths again. Last time I ended up with 3 weeks and 17 banners for shana_icontest to go. That's grown into 4 weeks and 19 banners for shana_icontest. The rotation has also caught up with me at la_corda_itest and seed_stills, so that's another 4 and 3 banners to make. So, I'm back to 6 weeks and 26 banners. And aching head and eyes. Fun, isn't it?

EDIT: Well, that proves I'm sick. Scratch the 4/19 for shana_icontest. I already posted one week's banners, 6 in total, over there, but neglected to post the countdown. So it's 3/13 + 1/4 + 1/3 = 5/20 weeks/banners to go. I hate being sick!

Another icontest down! I posted the last 5 gundam00awards banners yesterday. Only 3 more weeks to go! Hey, I can almost see the ~~light at the end of the tunnel~~ end. So, now that my migraine has calmed down, I feel energetic enough to take on the remaining banners. Let's just hope GIMP doesn't crash as much as it has these past days now.

Just made the 3rd banner post over at gundam00awards. That's another 3 weeks and 9 banners down. 1 week and 5 banners away from the last icontest, I have a total of 4 weeks and 22 banners to go.

Puppy news, too. Their eyes are now open and they're learning to know the world around them. Which means no more walking around dark corridors because one has to be careful not to tread on one of the little explorers. On the up side - they're really cute :D

luinthoron is mean and a saboteur. Banner countdown goes up another week and 5 banners. So I'm back at 7/31. Next icontest in order is gundam00awards with 4 weeks and 14 banners at the time (it's the icontest that just added a week). So... I'll just shut up and get on to the banners.

First icontest completed! Posted last batch pf due banners over at la_corda_itest. Still, another 9 weeks and 38 banners to go. Next icontest in line is seed_stills. Proceeding now.

EDIT: Why didn't anyone tell me I overlooked a week at seed_stills? Countdown goes up to 10 weeks and 41 banners to do. Turns out I somehow missed counting week 87 at seed_stills. Done saving the icons now, moving on to making banners.

Yay! Another week's worth of banners posted over at la_corda_itest. 10 weeks and 43 banners to go, if I haven't miscalculated anywhere. Don't know if I can work on any new banners today, though. My head is killing me. Could be because I got under a really bad rainshower two days ago. So I'm now going to go and experiment with the herbs I collected last weekend. It can only get better - unless they kill me, right? And should they do that, at least the pain will go away, right? So I'm off to make myself some herbal tea and try to get better.

Updated la_corda_itest with another week's worth of banners. 6 in total. Still, the total number of due banners only deduces by 1, as helike is sabotaging my efforts by adding another 5 banners to do at seed_stills (just kidding, you know I like making banners ;)). So, 11 weeks and 48 banners to go. I still feel I'm up to it, so on to the next ones.

Oh, and we have 8 dogs now. Our dog had 7 little puppies yesterday evening.

Another bannerpost went up to la_corda_itest today. Another week and another 5 banners down, 11 weeks and 49 banners to go. Oh, and absolutly must not forget to post the reminder at shana_icontest tomorrow.

On another note, our dog is having puppies today. Actually, my husband was sure it would happen next month so it was quite a surprise.

Posted the first week's worth of la_corda_itest banners on friday and the second just now. Sadly, I wasn't able to work on the banners over weekend, as we were out of town to my husband's nieces birthday. She was 2 years old this saturday. But now I'm back, hoping to get as much done before the weekend, as I can. This weekend we have the Hanseatic Days in Tartu, so we'll get to have many guests staying over the weekend and also, that's an event I really don't like to miss. So... On to the maths, I guess.

7+5 banners posted, that would leave me with 49 banners and 11 weeks to go, if not for the fact, that another week's worth of banners just added to it. So I'm at 54 banners and 12 weeks to go. Can't be this hard to do.

It's banner countdown time again

Quite some time has passed since the last time and I have lots of due banners piled up again. Time to get serious and start making them. But before I get to them, I'd first like to count how many there are due by now. So on to a summary we move.

la_corda_itest 28 banners for a total of 5 weeks
seed_stills 7 banners for 2 weeks (really that few? :-O)
gundam00awards 9 banners for 3 weeks (I really thought there would be more...)
shana_icontest 17 banners for 3 weeks

That's all in all 61 banners for 13 weeks at 4 icontests. Less than for the last banner cowntdown I did, but still, quite a lot. So I'd better shut up now and move on to the bannermaking. I hope they end up good :)

Elias' birthday and countdown still at 2

The last two days have been busy getting ready for my first son Elias Lauri's birthday. Yesterday evening we had quite a lot relatives over here, so there was a lot of housevleaning and cooking and last-minute shopping to do prior that. Is it really 5 years already? Somehow, it seems like yesterday that I first had that little boy in my arms. The time flies really fast, doesn't it?

So we had birthday guests yesterday (it was Elias' actual birthday). Ando's brother was here with his... well, can't say wife, as they're not married, but it's kinda funny to say girl-friend, considering they have already three kids together. Thir two tounger ones were here, too. Allan, their firstborn, had decided he'd prefer to stay with his grandparents. Actually, I can understand him. When Elias and Erki-Erik, second son of Ando's brother, see each other, they tend to form an alliance to pick on the older boy. Well, they also try to shut my younger boy, Kalev Toomas, out of their games, but most of the time, he prefers to entertain little Selene (third child of Ando's brother and their only daughter) anyway.

My mother and siblings were also here. And this means, lillekas, nenji_kun, and last, but certainly not least, luinthoron. So I used the chance to get luinthoron to help me with discovering LJ a little. I mean, I haven't changed the layout since I first got my LJ and there have been quite some changes since then. So now I've got a pretty new layout (which could need some customizing, but well, all in it's time, right?). And he also helped me with getting Semagic to work. OK, that was kind of my own mistake, that I just accepted that it didn't want to work under the restricted rights user account on mu computer and I didn't even try to delve to think ablut what the problem could be (simple - it couldn't save drafts in the Program Files folder, as it doesn't have the right to change it). Well, actually it could have worked, but it was just too annoying to always click on the 'can't save drafr' messages, every minute or so. No, I'm not blonde. Have never been. I just didn't care enough to take the time to think, because I could get my posting done at LJ, too. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is... Thank you so much, luinthoron.

Now that the birthday-rally is over (for the moment, we're expecting some more guests for saturday), I can finally try to get the shana_icontest banners done. Countdown is still at 2 weeks and 8 banners, as I really haven't found the time to work on them in these last two days. And after I finish that, I need to take another look on the icontests I'm making banners for, to see, whether the last weekend has provided me with more due banners or not.

The countdown is nearing it's end. Banners for gundam00awards are now completed. I just posted the last 5 banners over there. Now, all that's left, is 2 weeks worth of shana_icontest banners. That's 8 banners left. The end is near :)

And speaking of banners - here's a question for my fellow bannermakers. Is it OK to modify the winning icons for your banners? I have always assumed that the winning icon should be used 100% as the winner has made it. So I'm quite upset about a banner that was posted for one of my own icons here. The original winning icon is posted here.

One week's worth of banners (6 + one bonus joined banner) posted today (leaving me respectively 3 weeks and 13 banners to go). No more bannermaking this evening, though. I was working on the last banner for the posted batch when the doorbell rang and in stepped a family frriend we have not seen in months. He's a soldier boy currently positioned in Afghanistan. Seems like he's back on a short vacation, he'll be back in Afghanistan on the 6th of February. I think that's reason enough to postpone the banners.

Looks like I was too optimistic yesterday. I feel kind of drained at the moment. Still, I managed to get another week's worth of banners done and posted. That's another 5 banners down. 4 weeks and 19 banners to go and I feel burned out. So I'm taking a little break today and treat myself to a long hot bath. Hopefully it'll recharge my battery and I'll be back to iconmaking tomorrow. The end is so near, it would be ridiculous to give up now...

OK, now I'm really scared of myself. When did I turn this energetic? I mean, I just made today's THIRD bannerpost! Another week and 5 banners done. The countdown is at 5 weeks and 24 banners to go. That's 42 banners for 9 weeks worth of icontests made in less than a week! And I was AFK for two days during said time. And I'm still quite enthusiastic about the banners. Actually, I'm going to shut up now and move on to the next due week of Gundam 00 banners.

Yay! Another icontest down. I juats came from seed_stills, where I posted the last banners I still owed for said icontest. That's another 2 weeks (6 banners) down and 6 weeks (29 banners) to go. I think... If I haven't miscalculated anything. So, moving over to gundam00awards. Let's see... first week to go should be week 031. Well, let's get busy, then.

Actually, I made even another bannerpost over at seed_stills yesterday. But it was almost midnight and I was almost falling asleep on top of the keyboard, so I reconsidered making a countdown post here. Well, now I'm awake and can proudly tell, that another week's worth of banners (5 in total) was posted and that should leave me with 8 weeks and 35 banners to go. And because the last two due weeks at seed_stills feature 4 and 2 winning icons, I'm quite positive I could actually manage to top this icontest today and maybe even move on to the next icontest in line. And that would be gundam00awards (because it has more due weeks than the last icontest in line, shana_icontest).

Busy and creative times these are. Just posted another week's worth of banners (6 in total) over at seed_stills. Countdown should now be at 9 weeks and 40 banners. I can almost start to feel optimistic about this. I can keep it up at this pace, it is.

So, I'm done with the la_corda_itest banners. Already moved on to seed_stills banners, too. That's another 2 weeks (9 banners made, 2 banners for seed_stills were already done, but waiting for the other banners for their week to be done) down, leaving me 10 weeks (46 banners) to go. Still, a lot of work to be done. So I'm off, back to GIMP and bannermaking. A friend of mine will come over in a little bit, maybe I can get one or two banners done before she arrives.

Isn't that great? Just when I decide to get busy with bannermaking, my husband decides it's the right time to go visit his parents over the weekend. With the whole family. And, well, its' not like my poor laptop has recovered miraculously. So... no resources and no GIMP this weekend = no banners made over the weekend. But I still managed to get one week's worth of banners done today. That's one week (6 banners) down again, leaving me 12 weeks (55 banners) to go. I should be done with one of the icontests (la_corda_itest) by tomorrow.
